Gay Garnet is a rock trinket added in The Spitshine Update.

Effects

• Grants a luck-affected chance to shoot a Peppermint freezing flame that deals damage over time while slowing enemies for 2 seconds, and freezes them on death.
• Various enemies and bosses that are considered female (featuring the "Woman" affliction internally) will be charmed for 10 seconds immediately after appearing, and have a chance every 3 seconds to become berserk for 6.67 seconds.
  • Enemies that are already berserk will not have the status effect refreshed until after it has ended.
• Gay Garnet can only be obtained by fusing Sapphic Sapphire and Homoerotic Ruby together, through dropping both trinkets on the ground or by holding both at the same time.
  • It can also be obtained by using Azurite Spindown on Lithopedian.

Notes

• The chance to shoot a freezing flame is equal to 15 + Luck + 5 × Trinket Multiplier%, with a maximum chance of 50%.
• The chance for female enemies to become berserk is equal to 5 + (5 × Trinket Multiplier + 10)%, or a 15% chance with a trinket multiplier of 1, and a maximum chance of 30% with a trinket multiplier of 3.

• Trinket Multipliers: Multiplies the chance to shoot a freezing flame, and affects the chance for enemies to become berserk.
• Homoerotic Ruby: If already holding Gay Garnet, Homoerotic Ruby increases the chance for enemies to become berserk to 25%, without trinket multipliers.
  • Homoerotic Ruby + Trinket Multipliers: With trinket multipliers, the chance would be calculated as 5 + (5 × Trinket Multiplier) + (5 × Trinket Multiplier + 10)%, reaching the 30% chance cap with a trinket multiplier of 1.5 or higher.
• Sapphic Sapphire: No additional effect.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Gay Garnet rerolls it into Homoerotic Ruby.
